Opening Night At Potters House of Horrors in Surrey BC
by admin ~ October 16th, 2008. Filed under: Actors, Construction, Publicity.Finally we open! Seemed like such a long road to get to this point- day after day the little things kept piling up but we managed to pull it all together and keep building the haunted house.
For the most part, things have gone smoothly. All the actors showed up, animatronics turned on, and the lighting worked. I was a little concerned that the first four groups of guests didn’t even get past the Pumpkin King. But after we told the fathers that it was only pretend they manned up and went the rest of the way.
City TV sent a camera crew in for some film, not sure if / when we will get some air time but hopefully prime time baby! The actors did a great job as well, many first timers and a few veterans to lead the way, we scared everybody good.
I thought Id just make mention of the Scare Team Crew that got us to this point. Without them we couldn’t have opened such a great event. Toni, for her amazing detail set design, Rob for his technical/mechanical/carpentry and just about a little piece of everything going on., Geoff,great job on the lighting, Darryl for the creepy sounds, Dan and Glen for helping hands in just about everything. Chelsea ,Ashley, Tia, Heather, Jolene, Donna, Truman, Weston and Mat for putting on their best Halloween Faces and helping out in all the little corners and closets and last minutes details. You all did great.
