Not sure how much fun building a haunt really is though. Many peoples first comments are when they see this monster we’vebuilt are “you must have sooooo much fun building this”. I laugh, and agree usually. But reality is its pretty damn stressful! Working under a tight budget, and a ltd. time frame to complete. Building under strict safety guidelines under the close watchful eyes of the evil upper management, Insurance over-writers, Fire and Safety aauthorities and local Bylaw enforcement. All at the same time running a retail garden center. Not a lot of fun there.
The fun part of the project is in the planning. Thinking up the twisted ideas of how we can terrify our clients, if not gross them out, or give them the best entertainment we can for the price of the ticket. The rewards are in achieving that. Over the years wevecollected some great feedback form our visitors to the haunt. We use that to drive us on to the next year. Listening to our customers tells us what we did right, where we went wrong how we could do better. So after your visit this year make sure you “Tell us what you think” there will be a pen and pad ready at the end of the haunt for you to leave your comments.

Since when did clowns become a part of halloween? Witches, Zombies, Vampires, Goblins all based on death and darkness is more like it. Lets leave the clowns to the carnival where they belong

I always wondered what is so scary about dressing up in a doctor’s outfit, nurse, construction worker or any other professional as a costume in halloween. What is scary about using a princess, a ninja turtle or a pirate walking down the street trick or treating. Oh spirit of halloween please bring back your witches and ghosts to help bring back the scare and spookiness that seems to be fading year after year.
