It’s almost a scary sound effect in itself. As I add each animatronic and set it on test the air consumption rises. By the time all the tricks are installed and running you can hear the air rushing through the lines. It’s almost like a GIANT snake.(EEWWW, that would be creepy, maybe next year?) All be it, once the show is running and all the sound and actors start doing their thing, the air lines are barley heard. from time to time you can hear a pssst, pssst but that’s because I have more than likley made it part of the scene. One of the hardest parts is hiding all the air storage tanks on the site. We have over 15 tanks ranging from 5-80 gallons that have to be hiden from site, not to mention over 1000 feet of air lines. The way we add animatronics every year, I am pretty sure that future events will require upgrading to a screw type compressor. My bag of tricks is almost complete, I will be finished by Tuesday(mwahahahaha)! Wishful thinking but need a target to shoot for.
